Tintin Gay?

Tintin wasn’t part of my childhood. I discovered the graphic novels in my twenties and instantly fell under the sway of HergĂ©’s clear line style.

A callow, androgynous blonde-quiffed youth in funny trousers and a scarf moving into the country mansion of his best friend, a middle-aged sailor? A sweet-faced lad devoted to a fluffy white toy terrier, whose other closest pals are an inseparable couple of detectives in bowler hats, and whose only serious female friend is an opera diva…

Of course Tintin’s gay. Ask Snowy

Gayracula was a gay vampire movie of sorts.

Gayracula: gay vampire movie.

Don’t think Netflix carries this one.

Playgirl Magazine Number One

Playgirl magazine has a dubious or at least ambiguous status as a magazine of interest to gay men. For a very long time they were very deeply in the closet about their gay male readership. Now the print publication has been discontinued leaving only a website.

With features on charm (!), beauty and diet this looks like Cosmopolitan’s weak sister.

Playgirl Magazine : the first issue

Was Playgirl something you bought for the centerfolds and pictorials?

It may reveal troubling aesthetics but I’ve never seen a cover to one of the AMG publications I liked as much as I do this one.

Many many males fantasize about putting on female lingerie, being feminized, made into a “sissy.”

Apprentice Gay

Mark convinced Jeffrey that only a fine line divided straights from gays. Then he helped him cross it.

Apprentice Gay : Bisexuality novel

If you are a straight man who thinks he might be allowed to become queer please understand that the gay agenda’s apprenticeship program isn’t open to everybody.

The Gay Year

Salacious cover copy:

The revealing novel of two men and a forbidden passion.

The Gay Year by Michael Jean De Forrest

Books with covers like this I remember as being almost universally depressing. Evidently this was an exception being an autobiographical account of a man discovering and accepting his sexual orientation.
